Bathroom Makeover

This bathroom project was commissioned with the client wanting an old bathroom to be updated, but they also felt the room was very small and had the idea to use an old cupboard that had house a hot water cylinder, which was no longer needed as the boiler had been upgraded to a combi-boiler.

Through consultation, we suggested a couple of layouts to maximise they floor space. The customer confirmed that they were happy to go ahead with the project, and we started work shortly after.

Finished bathroom

The old chipped sink, bath tub and toilet were all removed and the pipework reworked for the new layout, along with electrics for the shower and lighting. The cupboard wall was removed and new wall added for where the cupboard door had been, and the bathroom door frame was relocated to gain a bit of unused space from the landing.

The bathroom walls were stripped and repaired, ready for the new install. Then the new bathroom suit was installed using a P-shaped bath to give more space for showering, as there was not sufficient space for a stand-alone shower. Then came the re-tiling and painting, along with fitting a piece of recycled timber as a window sill for a bit of an uplift to the room and help complete the project.
